Finally a NEW House Update

September has been a productive month at the new house. The biggest development is that we decided to put a "bonus room" in the pitch of the roof over the kids' wing. This will now be Lucas' room. Lucky little boy gets said room, because wellll... he's the only boy and the girls will rule the downstairs. This will give Lola a bigger room and the inevitably needed bigger closet. This also brings our house to 5 bedrooms 4 1/2 bathroom... which can never hurt. Here is the floor plan:

Here are some more pics of the progress and the actual build out of the bonus room:

Busy Busy Busy

Well, we are officially beach people! We made the move into a condo. Our stay here is supposed to be 2 months, though with the rainy weather we've had, it has delayed our construction a bit, so maybe a bit longer. We are content though! Beach life is GLORIOUS! Seriously! We go to the beach almost every day and I get to play tennis most mornings surrounded by palm trees and the ocean breeze. Turns out our neighbor at the new house is on my tennis team and we will be tennis partners this year. Everything is falling into place!

My Lucy Lu started kindergarten and declared "it was the BEST.DAY.EVER" She says she really hit it off with a girl named Emily "because we have SO much in common... we both love hot pink and purple and we REALLY love to dance."

On the house front, we FINALLY got concrete poured and will start framing this week. As soon was we have some framing up, I will take pictures and post. We are Busy Busy Busy bugs!

Sad to Move?

I don't have any new updates on the house. Things are moving along nicely. We have been absolutely consumed with trying to get this house packed. Yes yes, it is true. I am a hoarder or sorts, so we have so much to go through! Today, I thought I'd take this opportunity to discuss what a lot of people have been asking me lately: "Aren't you sad to leave your house?" Which is usually followed by "It's the house you brought your babies home to.... you have so many memories there." Indeed, that is true. We have a boat load of memories in this house. But am I sad to leave this house? No. I'm not really sad to leave this place. For that exact reason, it's just a place. The house didn't make all those memories, people did! And all those people still remain. So we are moving this party I like to call life to the beach... and everyone is invited to make more memories there.

Sneak Peak at Lola's Nursery

Here is a peak at the new fabric I just ordered for Lola's nursery! We have EVERYTHING that we need for the nursery in terms of furniture etc, so we decided to splurge on fabric. It's Lilly Pulitzer and most of you know that I LOVE me some Lilly. Also, since Lucy is allllll about Pink, I decided to stick with aqua's and lime greens for Lola and will introduce just a touch of pink in her room.
Annnnddd.... a mobile I found and LOVE LOVE LOVE. See.... little pops of Pink. Now that's ALL YOU GET until it's finished!

Bode's Yo Gabba Gabba 1st Birthday

Like I said in a previous post, I did 2 great parties in February and have been meaning to document them for a while. The first was an AWESOME 1st Birthday for Bode!
The cake was quite the showstopper and made by the Jax Beach Bakery Cinotti's. Guests got to leave Bode a note to put in his Time Capsule, to be opened on his 21st Birthday. I also picked up a Time (looking back on all the big news stories of 2011 i.e: The Japanese Earthquake) and People special addition (looking back on all the big Social stories of 2011 i.e: The Royal Wedding). Above the table I took a picture from each month of Bode's first year. I didn't get a picture of the food, but it was YUMMMM!!! The Perfect Pear catered the event with mini shot glasses of Tomato Soup and little grilled cheese. Delicious Sliders and fried pickles and chicken nuggets (that were just as good, if not better thaN Chick Fil A). For party favors, each kid size guest got to take a t-shirt and DJ Lance glasses. Most DJ Lance glasses I found were paper (aka not so good for the littles). I decided to buy cheap sunglasses (9.99 for a dozen) and punch the lenses out. Then I designed personalized t-shirt and printed them on the iron on paper. The front the shirts say "my name is ****! And I like to Dance.) My kids still love wearing them today! This Birthday Party turned out so awesome. Great colors and fun for kids and adults!

PV House Update (Photos +Video!)

Stopped by the house this afternoon and they made some MAJOR progress.  Work has started for the small addition and it looks like they will be ready to lay concrete next week!
Inside, most of the new framing is up and the slab has been drilled to move plumbing.  I made a video today that takes you on a few minute tour through the house.  Disclaimer:  I am not a very good videographer and talk really fast and the kids are kind of helping, but mostly just being loud....I think you can kind of get the gist though.  By the end I am calling the master bedroom the bathroom and am spacey because  I hear the kids up to no good. Then my phone dies.  Of course.  So the last room in the video is our master bedroom and the addition (pictured above) will come off the master and be 2 closets, a master bath, and a laundry room. oh... and we just came from the beach, which is why Lucy is in her swim suit.
Here you go:

The NEW House

So here it is!! The new house BEFORE the renovations. Figured this would be a good place to document the progress of the house and for everyone to see the before, during, and after shots.

Brain Fart

So I've been trying to sign on to Blogger for a few months months now... but couldn't remember my password and my recovery password is sent to an email that I no longer have access to, so basically all in all, an EPIC fail. But then, today, I decided I would try one more time and VOILA.... I just typed in my normal password (that is my password for EVERYTHING) and it worked. WHA!?!?! How is it possible that I didn't try it before or couldn't remember it before. Geez. But, I'm back. It's been since January and boy, have we had some major developments. I did 2 parties in February that were precious if I do say so myself. We decided to move to the beach and renovate which means I have become UBER obsessed with Pinterest and Houzz. Annnnnnnddddd..... we're having ANOTHER baby. Lola will be here end of November....let the NURSERY decorating begin!!! All things to document on this little Bloggety Blog. Fun!

Mickey Mouse Party

My son LOVES Mickey. I already have high aspirations that he will be a cute CEO of the Walt Disney Company. (A girl can dream right?!) My son's birthday is in November and after all my effort with halloween parties, I can hardly pull it together to get his birthday pulled together. Here are a few pics.
